## POST /api/v2/domains/{id}/actions/request-epp

**Request an EPP code**

Request an authorization code for transferring the domain away. When the upstream returns the code immediately, `eppCode` contains it. Otherwise `deliveryMethod` is `registry_console` for registry-console delivery or `unknown` when no delivery channel is exposed by the API.

### Parameters

- `id` (path, string, required): Public domain ID. Get it from GET /api/v2/domains `data[].id`. Do not invent this value; use the exact ID returned by the referenced API response. Example: `dom_01hxa3b4c5d6e7f8g9h0j1k2m3`

### Response Schema

- `domainId` (string, required) Example: `dom_01hxa3b4c5d6e7f8g9h0j1k2m3`
- `requestSubmitted` (boolean, required): True when the EPP/auth-code request was accepted by the upstream registrar integration. Example: `true`
  Allowed values: true
- `deliveryMethod` (string, required): `registry_console` means the caller should check the registry/account console. `unknown` means the API has no delivery channel; use `eppCode` if present. Example: `unknown`
  Allowed values: registry_console, unknown
- `eppCode` (string,null, required): Fresh EPP/auth code when the upstream returns one synchronously; otherwise null. Example: `EPP-AUTH-CODE-1234`
