## POST /api/v2/vps/{id}/actions/reset

**Reset VPS**

Force a hard reset of a running VPS. `reset` and `restart` both queue a reboot operation, but their intent and default behavior differ: `restart` is the normal graceful guest reboot route, while `reset` is always the emergency hard reboot route. Use `reset` only when the guest is unresponsive or you explicitly want a forced reboot. Power action guide: use `start` when the VPS is stopped; use `shutdown` for normal graceful power-off; use `stop` only for emergency forced power-off; use `restart` for normal graceful reboot; use `reset` only for a hard reboot. Check `GET /api/v2/vps/{id}` `actions.canReset` before calling. Get `{id}` from `GET /api/v2/vps` `data[].id`. The route path selects the action, so no request body is required. Returns 202 with an operation envelope; poll `operation.pollUrl` until the job reaches a terminal status.

### Parameters

- `id` (path, string, required): Public VPS ID. Get it from GET /api/v2/vps `data[].id`. Do not invent this value; use the exact ID returned by the referenced API response. Example: `vps_01hxa3b4c5d6e7f8g9h0j1k2m3`
